Family Owned & Operated
The Story of Sundance
The story of our shop begins in 1971 with Barry and Jean Anderson, when they started Sundance Sheepskin & Leather in Guffey, CO. The family sold their original sheepskin and leather designs (including their famous slippers) at art shows and crafts fairs.
Through decades selling at shows, they met many other talented artists, who grew to become fantastic friends of the family.
Fast forward to 2011 and their daughter, Corey, and son-in-law, Scott brought the family business to a retail location in Buena Vista. Not only does the shop feature Sundance Leather products, it also features our friends (other artists) that we've met over the years. Jean and her son Dylan still handmake each Sundance piece in Guffey, Colorado and source materials from the USA!
After opening the store, Corey began designing jewelry from beautiful gemstones, silver, gold, and leather. For 7 years now, Corey has been growing the Drift Jewelry Designs collection. Kai, Corey and Scott's son, is now selling his jewelry in the shop as well!
This family is passionate about providing a platform for artists, supporting our community, and delivering high-quality products through a unique shopping experience.
A Day on South Main
Visit Us in Buena Vista
The South Main Neighborhood was built around the Arkansas River Park. It's become a hub for locals and visitors alike and we are proud to be part of it. Come visit us at 1111 River Park Rd
After you browse our unique shop, head over to Eddyline Restaurant for a bite to eat or grab a cup of coffee and gelato at the Midland Stop.
You can walk off the local grass-fed burgers, brews, and sweets along the river. Just across the lawn is a walking path next to the Arkansas River, overlooking the waves of this world class whitewater park.
